Mary, wife of William Dill, did not leave a will but an adminstrators
bond was posted on 2 December 1782 for her estate by Elijah Dill (son of Edward
Dill decd), Nimrod Dill and John Hutson for the administrators Elijah Dill and
Nimrod Dill (Nimrod signed with and "X"). The inventroy was appraised
on 5 Dec 1782, and distribution of estate was make on 30 November 1785 to
William Dills son of the above, Job Dills, John Dills, Edward Dills, James
Dills, Elizabeth Dills, Joseph Dills, Sarah Dills by Cash pd Cornelius Shehorn
who intermard with her, Solomon Dills, Rebecca Dill’s and Philemon Dills. All
of those listed received the same share which would indicate they had same
degree of kinship to Mary and probably her children. They may have been named in
order of their birth if so than William was the oldest, but tax lists show that
John Dill was named on list in 1748 prior to William. Kent Co., DE Probate
Records Vol A14 pages 104-105 and Liber L folio 268. I have never been able to
find law for taxes in Delaware in colonial times and none of experts seem to
know. It would appear that white male would appear no later than the age of 21
and no earlier than age of 16. Children of William Dill and Mary _____:
