WADE JONES PURCHASED THIS MILL IN 1874.
HE ALSO OPERATED A STORE AT THIS LOCATION.
CAPTAIN PRETTYMAN JONES HOUSE. Captain Prettyman is sitting in the
chair, his wife, Matilda Smith Jones, and daughter, Nevada "Vada" Jones is
standing.
ALCORN'S STORE. This store is located just east of post office, and was owned for many years by
Clayton Alcorn. It was a social gathering place for the people of area.
BUFFALO VALLEY POST OFFICE. This is the old post office for Buffalo Valley which is still standing, but
since building of a new one it is no longer in use.
