LARKIN MAYNARD
His descendents tell the story that "Larkin was in Buffalo Valley on
furlough from working in Kentucky. His wife was pregnant at the time and he had
come in to see about "spring crops" when men appeared and ran him to a
plum thicket from his home in the Wallace Hollow in Buffalo Valley, Tennessee.
He was shot to death in the plum thicket. This occurred prior to to 12 February
1864 as the child his wife was pregnant with was born on that date.
