INDIAN CREEK
A big influence in the life of my grandfather, Homer R. Mullican and
grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Conley Mullican, was the Indian Creek Baptist Church
on Indian Creek. My grandfather was converted on 14 October 1913 at the
age of 24 and immediately joined the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Soon
after becoming a member was ordained deacon. For over 20 years until 1962
he served as Song Leader and Sunday School Superintendent. My grandmother
became Treasurer of the Church when my mother resigned in 1940. She served
as Treasurer until 1962. During the same period she also served as a
Sunday School Teacher.
This is the second building built about 1900 and last meeting was held here on
7 December 1947.
This picture shows several of the people
attending the last meeting.
