4. SUSANNAH2 HILL, d bef 27 Jan 1821 Wilson Co., TN m William Alsup. William Alsup is listed on the 1790 census of Fairfield Co., SC with 2 males over 16 years, 5 males under 16 and 3 females. On the 1800 census of Fairfield Co., SC William is shown with 1 male 45 up; 1 female 45 up; 2 males 16-26; 2 females 16-26; 2 males 10-16 and 2 females under 10. William and Susannah moved to south part of Wilson Co., TN about 1810 or 1812 and may have lived in Lincoln Co., KY prior to moving to Wilson Co., TN.  Children:

5. ASAPH2 HILL, b bet 1760-1770 d 21 Feb 1845 Wilson Co., TN m1st Mary Alsup b Bet. 1755 - 1774 m2nd Elizabeth Marr d 9 Aug 1856.  Asaph received a land grant in Camden Dist., SC on 20 August 1788 on Beaver Creek. The land adjoined land of Elijah Beams, Darkus Hill, John Carr and David Hopkins. He later purchased land from Dorcus Hill in 1793. He was one of the administrators of the estate of William Hill, Jr in 1795 with Abel Hill and Thomas Mobley. 

1790 Fairfield Co., SC Camden Dist census Asaph Hill, 1 male over 16 years of age. No free males under 16 or free females. Census order Wm Moberly, James McMurray, Wm Chapman, Samuel Moberly; Richard Hill; Jesse Beam; Benj Shrub; Asaph Hill; John Aperson; Elizabeth Stone; John Parks; James Parks; Wm Moberly, Senr

He later purchased land from Dorcus Hill in 1793.  He was one of the administrators of the estate of William Hill, Jr in 1795 with Abel Hill and Thomas Mobley. 

In 1800 census of Fairfield Co., SC he is listed with one male 26-45; one female 26-46 and one female under 10 years of age.
He is listed on the 1811, 1812, and 1815 tax list of Madison Co., MS ( AL) with Elijah and John Hill.

In 1804, He sold 98 acres of land on Beaver Creek for $300.00 to Samuel and Elijah Hill. Then in 1805, he sold land to Buch & Randolf. Fairfield County, Deed Book 1, page 221-: "I Asaph Hill for $300.00 sell unto Samuel and Elijah Hill 98 acres of land on Beaver Creek, a branch of Broad River bounded N.E. by Darcus Hill's land." /signed/ Asaph Hill. Date of Instrument 1804, recorded 1806. Samuel and Elijah were sons of Wm. Hill Jr. Mrs. C. G. Young wrote: "Asaph Hill had bought the above land from Joseph Hill who in turn had bought it from Darcus Hill." 

He was buyer at sale in Madison Co., AL on 18 May 1814. On 2 June 1815, he was named as executor of David Harless’ estate, after witnessing the will on 21 Apr 1815. Also on 21 Apr 1815, David Harless deeded land to Asaph Hill. He was living in Madison Co., AL when his daughter, Mary, married Asaph Alsup on 27 Feb 1818. He was one of the supervisor of elections for Madison Co., AL in 1824. 

1830 Madison Co., AL Census he is is listed with one male 60-70; 1 female 60-70; one male 10-15; 2 females 10-15 and1 female 10-15. 

On 5 Jan 1836 he and wife, Elizabeth, deeded land to John M. Connally. Witness was James C. Hill JP, Madison Co., AL Deeds BK P p 611. 

1840 Wilson Co., TN Census p 226 Asap Hill one male 70-80, and one female 70-80. He was next door to Jacob Hill.

Rebecca Hancock Corley, dau of Howard Hancock son of Carrie Alsup Hancock dau of Rev Asaph Alsup. Mrs. Corley has old notebook that belonged to her father. Dates in Notebook start in 1915. From Notebook: Asaph Alsup married his cousin Polly Hill, daughter of Capt Hill who is buried near Cainsville. Capt. Hill had a son, Jake (?Jacob), who had a son Bill. His people living in Gainesville, Cook (Cooke) Co., Texas had daughter Betsy married Aaron Edwards. (This certainly has some agreement with records as John Jacob Hill's descendants did move to Cooke Co., TX, and his sister Elizabeth Hill married 3 July 1838 in Wilson Co., TN Aaron Edwards.

1855-25 Sep-Recorded-We Asaph H. Alsup, Joseph F. Alsup, Susannah Alsup & Daniel G. Alsup, James P. Florida & wife Mourning Florida and Samuel F. Alsup have htis day bargained & sold & do hereby transfer & convey to William F. M. Alsup his heirs...., and undivided interest in a tract of land on which Asaph Bond is now living it being the tract owned by Asaph Hill at the time of his death & whereas by descent from the said Asaph Hill we Asaph H. Alsup, Joseph F. Alsup, Daniel N. Alsup & wife Susannah Alsup, James P. Florida & wife Mourning Florida, and Samuel T. Alsup have this day...... Recorded 6 Oct 1856. Wilson Co., TN Deed BK B2 p 349/350.

1853-5 Sep-Aaron Edwards and his wife Elizabeth, formerly Elizabeth Hill, to J. J. Hill our interest in a tract of land on which Elizabeth Hill now lives and is the same that Asaph Hill died seiged and possessed. Elizabeth Edwards is one of the legatees. Wilson Co., TN Deed BK B2 pges 180/181. 

17 Sep 1855-Daniel Owen and his wife Sallie Owens formerly Sallie Hill, dau of Asaph Hill., 150 acres in 17th Dist.

Descendants of Asaph Alsup and Mary Hill say that Mary was named after her mother, Mary Alsup. Asaph Hill may have been married two times as the descendants fo Rebecca M. Hill Hill says that her mother was Elizabeth Marr. The below Bible record, the 1853 Wilson County Deed, and the Madison Co., AL Deed confirms that Asaph apparently married to a Elizabeth.
