CLOTHING LIST OF COMPANY C              


The following is the clothing list as reported by Capt. Wade Jones in Oct 1864 for Company C.  Capt. Jones' copy was in possession of his daughter, Nora Jones Steele and was copied by this writer in 1962.  Ms. Steele also owned the saber of her father.  When her home burned these items were destroyed.  Items issued were Trousers, Flannel Shirts, Drawers, Cavalry Boots, Great Coats, Blankets and Shoes.   The men did not receive the quantity of clothing.  It is also apparent that some of men are listed twice.  The code for the different items of clothing issued is represented by letter and then a number.  The
