census of Fairfield Co., SC with 2 males over 16 years, 5 males under 16 and 3
females. On the 1800 census of Fairfield Co., SC William is shown with 1 male 45
up; 1 female 45 up; 2 males 16-26; 2 females 16-26; 2 males 10-16 and 2 females
under 10. William and Susannah moved to south part of Wilson Co., TN about 1810
or 1812 and may have lived in Lincoln Co., KY prior to moving to Wilson Co., TN.
His sons, Richard and Samuel, were on the 1806 tax list of Wilson Co., TN.
William had at least one sister, Mary, who married Asaph Hill. Children:

2. MARY1 ALSUP m Asaph Hill b bet 1760-1770 d bet
1840-1850 Wilson Co., TN m1st Mary Alsup, m2nd Elizabeth Marr, son of Richard
Hill and Dorcas Moberley. Asaph received a land grant in Camden Dist., SC on 20
August 1788 on Beaver Creek. The land adjoined land of Elijah Beams, Darkus
Hill, John Carr and David Hopkins. He later purchased land from Dorcus Hill in
1793. He was one of the administrators of the estate of William Hill, Jr in 1795
with Abel Hill and Thomas Mobley. He is listed on the 1790 Fairfield Co., SC
census as one male over 16 years of age. In 1800 census of Fairfield Co., SC he
is listed with one male 26-45; one female 26-46 and one female under 10 years of
age. In 1804, He sold 98 acres of land on Beaver Creek for $300.00 to Samuel and
Elijah Hill. Then in 1805, he sold land to Buch & Randolf. He is listed on
the 1815 tax list of Madison Co., MS ( AL) with Elijah and John Hill. He was
still living in Madison Co., AL when his daughter, Mary, married Asaph Alsup on
27 Feb 1818. He is on the 1840 census of Wilson Co., TN as one male 70-80. After
his death the heirs sold the land of Asaph in Wilson Co., TN. We know from the
pension records of Asaph Alsup that Asaph Hill and Mary Alsup had one child.
Descendants of other children of Asaph Hill say that he married Elizabeth Marr.
