A-1. JAMES MULLIKINA-1, b ca 1630-1640 d bet 18 Aug 1666-16 Oct 1667 Calvert
Co., MD m prior to 1658 Mary Weylett widow of John Damarell/Demall/Darnall.1 Patrick and James
Gunnel Mullikin patented land called "Mullikin's Green" in 1658.2 He
was in Calvert Co., MD by Oct 1657 as he was involved in Court case against
Henry Coursey.3 Thomas Williams obtained land in Maryland in 1664 for
transporting John Crossley, John River, William Thompson and James Mullikin.4 On
18 Apr 1664 James patented 300 acres of land in Dorchester Co., MD called "Mullikin's
Orchard".5 On 14 Aug 1665 he patented 200 acres of land in Dorchester Co.,
MD called "Mullikin's Green".5 James made his will in August 1666 and
it was probated on 16 Oct 1667. He left everything to his wife and children. He
signed his will with an "X".7 In his will he stated he was James
Mullikin of Patuxen River Planter in county of Calvert. Mary Mullikn of Patuxent
River in Calvert Co., MD widow of James Mullikin made her will on 20 Oct 1667.
She left all land on Transquaking River on the Eastern Shore of Province to her
son James Mullikin. To her son, John Darnaal the 200 acres taken up by his
father, John Darnaal, on Transquaking. She also mentioned daughters, Mary and
Elizabeth Mullikin.8 Harvey Mullikin, Anderson, SC in June 2000 posted his
new research on James which indicates his wife's maiden name was Weylett and she
was previously married to John Damarell/Demall/Darnall. The previous
husband had previously been referred to as John Darnall. He also found
husband for James' daughter Elizabeth. Check out his web site at

2. JAMES2 MULLIKIN, (JamesA-1), b abt 16639 MD d bef 22 May 1718 Prince
George's Co., MD m ca 1688 Jane Prather b ca 1670 Calvert Co., MD dau of
Jonathan Prather and Jane ?McKay.10 The inventory of the estate of James was
taken on 22 May 1718.11 Jane was mentioned in the will of her brother, George
Prather in 1698, as Jane Mollikine.12 Jane Prather widow of of Jonathan Prather
married second John Smith. In her will, Jane Prather Smith, on 2 July 1710 left
to her grandsons, William, Thomas and John Mullikin each a two year old heifer.
She also mentioned her grand daughter Jane daughter of James Mullikin and gave
to her one negro boy named Jerry.13 Elinor and Mary Mullikin was mentioned in
will of John Smith on 3 Sep 1707 and Ellinor mentioned as daughter of James
Mullikin,4 Children of James Mullikin and Jane Prather:

10. WILLIAM3 MULLIKIN, (James2, JamesA-1), b ca 1700 Princes George's Co., MD
d bef 21 Mar 1778 Montgomery Co., MD m 6 June 1727 Queen Anne Parish Prince,
Georges Co., MD Margaret Turner b 4 Mar 1699 Prince Georges Co., MD probably the
daughter of John Turner and Sarah Bevins.15 William of Prince Georges County
made his will on 9 Jan 1767 in Prince George's Co., MD and it was probated on 21
Mar 1778 in Montgomery Co., MD.16 William did not name his wife in his will, but
named sons, Bassel (Basil), John and William and named John and William his
executers.17 He also named grand daughter, Mary Moble. William gave the land he
now lives on to his son, William, and the 21 acres of land he took up next to
it. He gave to his son, John, the land he purchased of John rile on Sinnach. His
sons, John and William Jr, witnessed the will of John Beall in Prince Georges

made 13 Sep 1802 in Montgomery Co., MD and probated on 31 Jan 1803. He mentioned
Basil and William son of John and Ann Mullikin; a cousin, Margaret Ryney; and
Richard Beall, son of Lawson.21
