ASAPH ALSUP served as a Private in Captain Zekial Ross' and Captain McCalley
Companies under Maj. William Woolfork.
EPPS FOSTER
PRETTYMAN JONES served in Capt Mathew Cowen's Company, Colonel Raulston
Regiment, General Carroll's Command at Battle of New Orleans.
JOHN TAYLOR enlisted on 13 November 1814 in Captain Edward Robinson's Company of
Infantry, Third Regiment of Tennessee Militia. After the Battle of Battle
of New Orleans on 8 January 1815, he contracted yellow fever and was sent from
New Orleans by boat up the Mississippi River to Natchez where he died on 13 May
1815.
JOHN TRAPP in his application for bounty land on 7th October 1852 he states
while in White County, Tennessee, he enlisted on 28th June 1812 as First
Lieutenant, in Captain William J. Smith's Company in 2nd Regiment of Tennessee
Volunteers commanded by Colonel Thomas H. Benton, for a term of term of one
year. He was mustered into service at Nashville, Tennessee, on 10th
December 1812 and was transported to City of Natchez in the State of Mississippi
where he remained until about the middle of April 1813 when he was marched to
Columbia, Maury County, Tennessee, and discharged on 10th May 1813. On 1st
October 1813 his Company was again mustered into service in White County and
marched under the command of Colonel William Pillow to the Creek Nation where
they were ingaged in the Battle of Talladega in Alabama on 9th November
1815. Then the were marched to Fort Strother where they remained for
sometime, and then marched to Fayetteville in Lincoln County, Tennessee where he
was discharged.
