Civil War Confederate Army Officer. Served as a Colonel in the United States
Army during the Mexican War.

Col. Robert Donaldson Allison
After the war with Mexico he was elected to the
Tennessee State House of Representatives. During the Civil War he served as
Colonel and commander of the 20th Tennessee Cavalry, and as Colonel of the
26th Tennessee Infantry. He was wounded 6 times during the conflict. After the
war he settled down in McKinney, Texas, serving as a Town Judge until his death at ago 90.
