Sarah "Sallie" Whitson Breeding, daughter of Jeremiah Whitson and Catherine Bray Whitson;
Cynthia Ann Mills Breeding, wife of Reuben; Mary Anna Barnes Mills, (1828-1903), daughter of John Adams Barnes
and Margaret Welch Barnes; and next to her is her husband William Jefferson "Billy" Mills,
(1829-1905), son of William Mills, (1787-1864), and Mary Campbell Mills, (1785-1866).
Note the large pile of logs in the background, these logs were cut up and used for
cooking and to heat the homes during winter. Also note the large black hat William
Jefferson Mills is holding, this was fashionable for men of this day. Other children of
William Jefferson Mills were: John Mills, married _____Bohannon; Jim Mills
married _____Slagle; Curtis Mills, whose 4th wife was Nannie Cole; Bedford Mills, married ____Wassom;
Margaret Mills, married Jim Wright; Lou Mills, married George Breeding; Tennie Mills, married ____Nichols;
and Jane Mills married ____Lee.
